A previous owner of our house installed a "ironing center" in, of all places, the master bedroom. It's basically a big cabinet that went into the wall, and you can open it and lower the ironing board. Not only did it look hideous, but I don't like to iron at all. There's a recess in the wall from where it was installed. I know we could just get some drywall and patch it up, but before we try that does anyone have ideas for an area with these dimensions, i.e. making some shelves or something? I'm just looking for some creative ideas.
