What colour should I paint my room if I have the following….?

I'm *thinking* walls cream skirting boards/woodwork white?
We're also having laminate flooring, should I go dark or light?
What about wardrobes and drawers..dark or light?
HELP!
edit: forgot to mention, i'm thinking red rug, few red cushions, red prints on walls to break it up!
