How Can I Build A Wall-mounted Kitchen Bar Table That Folds Down?

Okay, so I would like to make use of space in my small kitchen based on what I've seen in boats and RVs. I'm thinking something similar to a fold-out wall-mounted ironing board, but large enough to use as a spare counter space or breakfast bar. Ideally it should be white with chrome edging. What kind of hinges would I need? Will I need a leg? Where can I find plans for this type of project? How do I make sure it won't pull off the wall when loaded with plates and elbows after breakfast?

Please help me find a wall-mounted iPhone dock.
I’m looking for an iPhone dock with all these features:
– wall-mounted
– has an FM radio that works when there’s no phone docked
– recharges the iPhone
– iPhone shielded
– available in the US, preferably from Amazon (for wish list convenience)
– can hold an iPhone that’s in a SwitchEasy case
This is going in the kitchen and needs to be loud enough to battle the washing machine, children playing, etc. Preferably it would cost less than $200, but the names of any docks with all those features would be appreciated.

Something useful and beautiful. How about a chair? That would be impressive, if you have the skill. Ooh! Idea… how about a small doll house? You could donate it to a PTA auction or raffle. Also, if they have a theatre department, you could design some sort of stage set or prop. ??
This sounds like an interesting high school. My daughter goes to an arts magnet school. I think the most important thing they look for in these auditions is passion. They want students who really want to be there and are passionate about what they do. Good luck.
You are living in a house where the kitchen is on fire and a lion is loose. Guests come in and they wanna warm some food up in the kitchen.
Cool idea!!

You'll need something called a Drop Leaf Support, usually used on drop-leaf desks and tables, but also handy for any folding table. Here are a couple of examples:
They simply slide in and out, so you won't need tools to fold your table. The second example requires that you make your own wooden support to slide into the channel. Both are sold in pairs, but depending on how much weight they'll have to bear, you may need more. I'm guessing the apron on your table (if there is one) is split where it folds, in which case the Drop Leaf Support will have to bear any weight that isn't supported by some other locking or support mechanism.
Hope this helps, and happy woodworking!
