You can listen to any radio station, they all provide that information. Listen for a few hours and maybe visit their website to find out anything you don't hear.

You need the different licenses from the government agencies. Once you start with one the others will let you know what you need. A building up to code. Also a trained staff.

Wow this vid is really well done. I can just tell how much effort and heart you truely put into this.
A commercial station is one that makes money and in most cases is actually harder to get than a non commercial one. In most of the US east, there is no room to put another commercial station as they can only be licensed if they follow a lengthy set of regulations on where they are on the dial compared to others etc etc.
Also you have auctions to follow to receive a license as many times you are competing against many other station owners to receive a license in the commercial broadcast band.
The easiest way is to wait for the filing window to come about again for a translators which are a lot less regulated than the rest you mentioned

You might have a good local organization that is working to preserve land or limit pollution. Contact some local biology professors and they may know of some good grassroots groups.
Keep in mind that many people determine if an organization is "good" if it spends a very small percentage of its donations on administrative expenses; like maybe 10%. The better question is "what positive impact does an organization have?" Look for results!
If you go local, maybe you and your friends can do a volunteer project with the group you help? And, it would really be wonderful if you could take the money you raise and buy things you can use on that volunteer project so you see your direct impact.

Those x's replace your standard note-head. It is used in a situation in vocal music where the composer/arranger wants a line to be spoken instead of sung. That is also why all the x's are on the same line, because if your speaking the line, what line or space on the staff it's on doesn't matter.
